My First "Yard Sale Plant Sale"!
This is my 1st attempt @ selling
my homegrown transplant veggies!
I wanted to keep my first sale small and easy to do with little to no cost to me so I did it yard sale style...I live in an apartment complex in San Diego located on a busy street in North Park. The location is highly traveled and often I see neighbors having great success with their yard sales, so I knew I could sell plants just as easily!
This is how my "yard sale plant sale" looked, so it ended up more like a driveway sale but you get the idea...
I sold the plants for $3 each, 2 for $5 or 5 for $10
With each sale I also included a little guide to growing a successful garden

plants are grown in BIODEGRABLE pots
They can be planted right into soil
without removal!
The key to a successful &
productive garden is
MOIST SOIL & SUNSHINE
*Be careful with watering, a
plant’s yellowing leaves is a sign of overwatering*
*Don’t over fertilize, it will cause your
plant to produce many flowers but no real fruit*
*The quicker you pick your first
fruit, the faster your plant will produce more*
*Avoid insecticides, soaps &
chemicals on your plant, they cause more damage than good*
*Plant bug repealing flowers, like
Marigolds, for a natural chemical alternative*
The weather was a little bit warmer than usual for a Sunday in May, it was a hot day for sure!
Yard sale costed me nothing to set up but my time and effort (and my fiancee's!)
Overall it was great for being my very 1st sale &
I'm really happy about how it all turned out...
got me super pumped for my next sale!
I will be selling my transplants at
Kobey's Swap Meet (San Diego's Best!)
Hopefully there won't be a problem with selling vegetable transplants because there are rules/licencing for selling certain products, such as produce, but since these are plants and do not have any fruit and you can't eat them I think I'll be fine...
